THE PROBLEM

A finished home sells on how it looks before anyone walks through it.

Engelsma Homes builds custom homes in West Michigan, so the photography is doing the work long before a buyer books a showing.

The homes that needed covering were waterfront, and the setting was the point. The approach from the water, the shoreline, the way the house sits on its lot, none of that reads from the ground.

Some of the existing images were older and soft, and the season was right to shoot again rather than keep using them.

WHAT WE BUILT

We shot the properties from the ground and from the air on the same visit.

That way the stills and the footage match each other in light and season.

Ground photography covers the home itself. The aerial work covers what the ground cannot: the approach from the water, the shoreline, the front and back of the property, and slow circles that hold the architecture against the setting behind it.

Aerial capture was flown under an FAA Part 107 license.

Delivery was built around how a builder actually uses media. Individual clips for anywhere a single shot does the job, a cut piece for anywhere a longer one does, and edited stills prepared for web and social.

THE RESULT

The builder has current photography and aerial video of finished work.

It was shot in the season they asked for and delivered ready to publish.

Because the footage comes both as separate clips and as a finished piece, it can be placed on a listing, a page or a post without coming back to us for another edit.

Aerial work is the part of property media that a phone cannot produce, and it is the part that shows a buyer where a home actually is, not just what is inside it.
