OUR WORK

Mahindra Parts Direct

An online parts store for an authorized Mahindra dealer, running in step with the dealership's own inventory system. Orders placed on the site land where the parts desk already works.

THE PROBLEM

There was no connector between the dealership's inventory system and selling online.

The parts business runs in Lightspeed EVO, and EVO has no way to put a part on a storefront, so every sale went through the counter or the phone.

Selling the same parts online without a connector means keeping two sets of numbers. Two sets of numbers means selling a part that left the shelf an hour ago, and then calling the customer back to explain it.

Orders were the same problem in reverse. Anything sold on a website would have to be typed back into the dealership system by hand before the parts desk could pick it, invoice it and ship it.

WHAT WE BUILT

We built the connector, and it runs between the two systems in both directions.

It reads part quantities and prices out of the dealership system on a schedule and writes them to the storefront, so what a customer sees is what is actually on the shelf, and a part that runs out stops being sellable instead of quietly overselling.

Paid orders go back the other way. Each one is checked so it can only be processed once, translated into the dealership's own format, and queued for the dealership system to collect, which means the parts desk works the order in the software it already uses.

The storefront itself is Shopify, so payments, shipping labels and customer email stay native to the store and the connector does not try to own them.

The service runs on Railway with its own dashboard, health checks, alerting and a nightly reconciliation pass. A sync that fails quietly is worse than one that fails loudly, so it is built to say something when it stalls.

WHAT'S INSIDE

01

Inventory sync

Quantities and prices come from the dealership system on a schedule, so the store shows what is on the shelf.

02

Order write back

A paid order is translated into the dealership's format and queued for the parts desk to work.

03

Operations dashboard

Sync status, order flow and errors on one screen, with alerts when something stalls.

04

Shopify storefront

Payments, shipping and customer email stay native to the store.

THE RESULT

It opened a new online sales channel.

The dealership sells parts to customers who were never going to walk into the building, and it does that without anybody keeping a second set of stock numbers by hand.

Stock on the site follows stock in the building, and orders placed on the site land in the system the parts desk already works from, so fulfillment is the same job it always was.

The store is live and the dealership runs it day to day.
